GPA is currently providing Kvichak Marine with the detailed engineering for the 22-meter Fast Pilot Boat for Columbia River Bar Pilots. The 1,410 BHP vessel is designed as an all-weather pilot launch and will provide exceptional sea-keeping, a comfortable ride, excellent performance in the planning regime and be self-righting. The pilot boat will have twin-engine propulsion with excellent all round visibility, an aft mounted wheelhouse, an energy absorbing fender system and a large clear deckhouse. The vessel will be capable of operating in wind speeds gusting up to 75 knots.
