
The M/V Alaska Ocean, a 114-meter factory trawler, is the largest US flagged factory trawler in the fleet owned by Alaska Ocean Seafood LP. Ulstein Hatloe AS in Ulsteinvik, Norway completed the conversion of the vessel that is equipped with luxurious crew member accommodations and can process 320 tons/day of Japanese surimi on four processing lines.

GPA delivered the conversion design for the M/V Northern Hawk, a 104-meter DnV classed and USCG inspected Surimi Factory Trawler now owned by the American Seafoods Group. The vessel, converted at Ulstein Hatloe AS in Ulsteinvik, Norway, is capable of carrying 125 crew members and now has a 400-ton/day-catch capacity, as well as a 125-ton/day fishmeal plant.

The M/V Starbound, a 73-meter factory trawler, was designed by GPA in 1998 for Aleutian Spray Fisheries. Built by Dakota Creek Industries of Anacortes, WA, the M/V Starbound was the first vessel completely constructed using computer lofting developed by Guido Perla.

GPA delivered the conversion design for the M/V Northern Eagle, a 104-meter DnV classed Surimi Factory Trawler capable of carrying 125 crew members. Now owned by the American Seafoods Group, the vessel was converted at Ulstein Hatloe AS in Ulsteinvik, Norway.

The M/V Northern Jaeger, a 102-meter Surimi Factory Trawler owned by American Seafoods Group, was converted by Schichau Seebeckwerft of Bremerhaven, Germany. The DnV classed and USCG inspected trawler has a cargo hold capacity of 2,180 m³ and can accommodate 110 crew members.
