M/V Majestic Star

The M/V Majestic Star is a 109-meter casino vessels built by Atlantic Marine, Inc. for Majestic Star Casino. With a 3,500 passenger and 500 crew member capacity, the vessel is located on the shores of Lake Michigan in Gary, Indiana. It is powered by four diesel generators through electric motors and four Z-Drive propellers, two at the stern and two near the bow. GPA provided preliminary design, contract plans and all detail construction engineering.

M/V Grand Palais and M/V Crescent City Queen

The M/V Grand Palais and her sister vessel M/V Crescent City Queen are 109-meter sternwheel casino vessels built by Bender Shipbuilding and Repair Co. in 1995. The vessels, owned by Grand Palais Riverboats and each capable of carrying 2,000 passengers and 500 crew members, are equipped with a diesel-electric propulsion system consisting of six 1,090 kW main generators.

M/V Grand Victoria

The M/V Grand Victoria, a 122-meter long vessel capable of carrying a total of 1,800 passengers and crew members, is a USCG inspected double-ended traditional riverboat casino vessel, designed by GPA for Watch City Shipyard in Elgin, Illinois for Grand Victoria Casino & Resort. Power and propulsion systems for the M/V Grand Victoria 7,500 kW integrated diesel-electric propulsion driving three Z-Drive propeller units at each end of the vessel.

M/V Kanesville Queen

GPA delivered the design for the M/V Kanesville Queen, a USCG inspected 83-meter traditional Casino Vessel owned by Harvey’s Casino Resorts of Council Bluff, IA. Built by Atlantic Marine, Inc. for operations on the Missouri River, the vessel has a passenger capacity of 1,960 and a crew member capacity of 200. In 1998, the Kanesville Queen was expanded, with GPA again providing naval architecture and marine engineering design services. Upgrades included an addition of 4,000 square feet of gaming and an increase of 2,000 square feet of crew space.

GPA provided the design for the M/V Star Casino, a 79-meter paddlewheel casino vessel built at Bender Shipbuilding and Repair Co. The DnV classed and USCG inspected vessel has a passenger capacity of 1,200 and a crewmember capacity of 200. The M/V Star Casino is equipped with two diesel-hydraulic 1,180 kW main generators, two 670 HP Z-Drives and two 670 HP paddlewheels.

GPA provided the design and engineering for Jamestown Metal Marine Sales, Inc. for the floating casino owned by Indiana-based Boyd Gaming Corporation. The USCG approved casino, fitted with propulsion, is a fully operational and self-sufficient vessel. Launched in 2006, the vessel replaced the Blue Chip casino vessel and offers almost 8,000 m² of total gaming area for up to 6,000 passengers.
