
Guido F. Perla, BSE, PE - Chairman. Mr. Perla is responsible for the strategic development of the company, and focuses on preliminary
and conceptual design work. He works closely with GPA’s clients to develop profitable vessel concepts,
which meet owner ambitions and industry requirements.
Mr. Perla, a registered professional engineer in the state of Washington, obtained a BSE in Naval
Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a BSE in Mechanical
Engineering from University Pontificia Bolivariana in Colombia.
Alex M. Loudon, BSE - President. Mr. Loudon is responsible for directing the overall management and technical efforts of GPA. He
continues to perform preliminary and contract design activities, as well as project management,
bid and proposal development, and quality assurance work.
Mr. Loudon obtained his BSE in Naval Architecture from the University of Glasgow, Scotland.
Mr. Koch is responsible for the technical adequacy of all engineering work produced by GPA, and
oversees the structural and mechanical engineering departments. He directs the coordination and
production of detailed engineering documents and drawings in support of shipyard construction,
and acts as project manager for various major GPA projects.
Mr. Koch obtained his BSE in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, and is
a registered professional engineer in the states of Washington and California.
Dave Pasciuti, MSC, PE - Vice President of Naval Architecture.Mr. Pasciuti is responsible for managing the naval architecture department, and oversees scientific
analysis and development, as well as regulatory compliance. He works with clients to present
preliminary design concepts, and provides project management for major projects from inception to completion. He is also instrumental in the development of project bids and proposals.
Mr. Pasciuti obtained an MSC in Naval Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley and is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Washington.
Mr. Gleaves is responsible for managing the electrical design department, ensuring regulatory
compliance, and performing initial and detailed analysis of electrical system designs. He works
with clients, shipyards and vendors to develop integrated and coordinated ship's electrical systems.
Design support is provided from initial concept to final installation. He has particular experience
and expertise with electric propulsion systems.
Mr. Gleaves has over 35 years experience with marine electrical and electronics systems, both as a technician and a design engineer.
Gregory T. Hughes, BSE - Ship Design Manager / Naval Architect. Mr. Hughes has primary responsibility for general arrangements and structural design with extensive background in structural analysis. Mr. Hughes obtained his BSE in Naval Architecture from the
University of California, Berkeley.
